Get The Best Out of Your Dog
Through Training And Fun
“Like children, dogs are entitled to and actually need an education. Such training is valuable because it gives your dog a sense of security and increases their sense of responsibility, and they enjoy it. Every interaction you have with your dog is an opportunity for training.”

We have used Kat multiple times in Tauranga to train our big dogs, boarding and over night stays when we have gone away. She also has a lot of amazing dog equipment and goodies you might want to buy. Super amazing, helpful and friendly. Highly recommend her to anyone that dearly cares about the dogs.Posted on Google Eric WainwrightTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was very helpful to get advise from Kat. Even though Kasper is a bit hard to train we are getting there. 😊Posted on Google Rachel BailieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kat was an amazing support and guidance right from before we had even chosen a dog. She gave guidance on some breeds that could be a good fit based on our family and ultimately we chose a dog from an ethical breeder that she had experience with. After we got out pup we attended puppy school which I would highly recommend to anyone with a new puppy, regardless of how much experience you have with dogs already. We had a very mixed range of pups in our class and Kat was able to tailor it to each of our dogs needs and personalities. Kat made the whole process from beginning to end much less daunting and really empowered us to make a good choice for our family and then put in the good ground work in for us to have a well trained pup that we have a great relationship with. Kat has a natural affinity with dogs and I was so impressed with how she can read them and get them on board with training. Thank you so much Kat from Tux & the Bailie Fam.Posted on Google Liz YatesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Doing lessons with Dogs are Us has made a huge difference to my dogs behaviour. She's a very energetic young Spaniel and now I enjoy her company much more. Thoroughly recommend.Posted on Google Victoria SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kat was great. Our dog Koda (Vizsla) is 4, essentially a rescue from a breeder, she had never been a family dog (no collar, no car rides, no walks) no experience in a city environment, knew no commands, always lived outdoors in a kennel and had been clearly mistreated by men, her confidence was super low, apprehensive around males was really bad and she had to deal with a heap of change all at once. With 6 kids (aged 3-16) we needed to ensure safety and set boundaries straight away for everyone really - the humans and Koda. Kat in the first few days of bringing Koda home, helped guide us in our own home how to setup a safe space for Koda, what her body language meant, how to build up confidence, what to look out for in public, appropriate socialisation for where Koda’s confidence was at and gave us some really effective tools and advice to navigate this new stage for Koda and our family and beyond. I’m so happy we got help from Kat from the outset to ensure the best start for our family and settling Koda. Koda is my 4th dog and I wish I had known the tricks I learned from Kat with them! Kat has been amazing with our five-year-old Dachshund!! He listens to her, and her methods are incredibly effective and fast-acting, provided you maintain consistency. Kat's extensive knowledge in correcting various behaviours and implementing training strategies is evident. She offers techniques that engage your dog both mentally and physically, ensuring a well-rounded approach to training. She really challenged Stanley and he was knackered after her visit which was a goal for us! Kat tells you how it is, not what you want to hear but is always kind and straightforward so that both human and pet can get the most out of her sessions which are priced very accessibly. What sets Kat apart is her willingness to come to your home and even meet you outside the home, which is incredibly helpful for analysing your dog's behaviour in different environments. This personalised approach makes a significant difference in understanding and addressing specific issues. We couldn't be happier with Kat's services and highly recommend her. 10/10!Posted on Google Glenys EatonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We did Kat’s 4 week training course with our 6 month old schnauzer and found the training was invaluable. We have since caught up twice with Kat as we address certain behaviours that have developed and each time Kat has given us excellent training knowledge to work with our now 9 month old puppy. Simple and insightful knowledge, i would highly recommend Kat to future dog owners who desire to have well behaved and socialised pets that are a joy to be aroundPosted on Google Chris PrinceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
